Overview

I've recently finished a PhD in the Mideo Group at University of Toronto. I have broad research interests in ecological and evolutionary aspects of parasitic organisms and host-parasite interactions. I explore my questions using theoretical modelling, meta-analyses, comparative approaches and experiments. My recent/current research topics include:
- Role of individual variation in disease transmission
- Host immune responses to malaria infection
- Epidemiological consequence of vector saliva
- Within-host dynamics of malaria
- Evolution of immune regulatory network
- Virulence evolution and immunosuppression
- Division of labour in parasitic flatworms
- Patterns and mechanisms of biodiversity of parasitic organisms
